Should LGBTQ couples care about whether they are in a civil partnership or a gay marriage? How important is the idea of gay marriage - whether for activists or for those who are in civil unions? And where does the issue stand in the world today?

[undefined] OUSU LGBTQ Council are holding a panel discussion on the topic of Gay Marriage & Civil Partnerships. Join us for this topical issue, coming in the wake of the US elections last year which saw a number of states (incl. California/Prop Eight) vote on whether or not to outlaw gay marriage.

We will have people talking about their experiences in civil partnerships, a brief talk on obtaining legal advice on LGBTQ issues, and input from members of the Queer Studies Circle and more!
