Is the relationship between religion and the LGBT community necessarily conflictual? Which - if any - religions or spiritual traditions could accept a ‘queer’ lifestyle? When some Christian denominations in the UK and the US accept homosexuality, are they accepting only a non-queer, ‘conservative’ version of it? Have queer people developed their own distinctive spiritualities or their own interpretations of various faiths? Could feminism and queer theory themselves be viewed as ’spiritual’ positions?
As usual, we’ll have drinks and biscuits aplenty along with an interesting discussion!
