R&B super-couple Chris Brown and Rihanna are coming over all Ike and Tina Turner. Brown was arrested and bailed after beating up a woman in his car; apparently, Rihanna, who was treated for ‘visible injuries’ after the incident.
The media, in its infinite wisdom, has already sussed the root of the problem. Not Brown’s vile temper and fists, but that Rihanna is “a clingy girlfriend who can’t bear to have Brown out of her sights.”
It’s almost as if she was, ya know, asking for it…

Wow, just read the article you linked to. That last sentence on ‘a clingy girlfriend’ is so incongruous. Fact, fact, fact and ooh, let’s just randomly blame the girl. From what the rest of the news report says, she had got out of the car, following an argument and he had followed after her and hit her. Which sounds more like possessive jealousy on his part than on hers - which seems about right for the kind of people who attack their partners.

Oh, it gets better. Blogland is spreading the rumour he hit her because she gave him herpes. There is apparently no limit to how far people will go to blame the woman.
